So how does it work?

Invisalign Teen uses a series of completely clear aligners to gently move your teeth into the desired position for a truly stunning smile, without the need for wires and brackets. Each aligner is custom-made especially for your teeth and mouth using impressions and 3D imaging, which are sent to a dedicated Invisalign lab. Every aligner is worn for two weeks and then replaced with the next aligner, for which there is a special marker to tell you when to change to the next aligner.

How are teeth straightened?

The aligner produces gentle forces which gently coax your teeth into place. Each aligner is slightly different from the previous one, adjusting your teeth gradually and effectively, until they match the last aligner that will fit your perfect smile. This is all done with complete discretion, with no one able to tell that you are even wearing braces; an important asset for self-conscious teenagers.

Can Invisalign Teen help me?

Invisalign Teen is specially made for adolescent teeth and for teeth that are still erupting, as well as those with a full set of adult teeth. If you suffer from twisted teeth, crooked teeth, crowded teeth or gapped teeth, Invisalign Teen could be the brace system for you. Teenagers who feel particularly self-conscious about their appearance will also find Invisalign Teen very helpful, as the clear aligners make it virtually invisible to ensure no one will notice that you are having treatment.

What else should I know about Invisalign Teen?

The braces are removable and this leads to a greater flexibility of use and also improved oral hygiene, as you won't need to clean between fiddly brackets and wires. However, for optimum results it is recommended that you wear each aligner for at least 21 hours a day, with general treatment times varying between six to twelve months, depending on the complexity of the case.

Also, due to the aligners being pre-made, you will not need to visit our Glasgow practice as often as you would for other brace systems.
