Dental Implant to Replace Upper Molar: Implant Case Study

Adrian attended Dr Brendan Murphy, complaining about recent tooth loss.

His dentist had removed an upper right first molar due to infection and Adrian didn’t want to wear a removable denture.

Neither did he want to have adjacent teeth adjusted for a bridge. This incurs considerable risk to the nerves inside teeth, with potential requirement for root canal therapy later in life.

Having suffered a recent root canal failure, Adrian was sure that he wanted a dental  implant.

He had read online that Appletree ran a dentist referral service and asked his dentist to refer him to Dr Murphy.

“The implant placement went well,” said Dr Murphy. “As usual, we’ll wait for ten weeks before starting to get ready to place a titanium/gold abutment but Adrian should get a lifetime’s use out of it, so a bit of patience is worthwhile.”
