Braces Before Wedding Case Study – Lisa

Regular readers of our blogs and case studies may recall that Lisa, one of our patients, had cosmetic orthodontic work carried out with Six Month Smiles before her wedding a year ago.

We can see that the upper incisors required quite a considerable amount of rotations in order to achieve what we refer to as an ‘arch form’. The difficulty here is that her teeth required rotation in the opposite direction from one another as can be seen in the first view from below.

We eventually got her braces back on again and they really are pretty good to the neutral observer.

A very good result was achieved here and Lisa got her braces off just in time for a trip back home to Northern Ireland.

The reason for her trip? Yes, another wedding for which she was very happy to smile for the wedding photos.

Braces Before My Wedding?

Many brides to be express interest in having orthodontic work done before their wedding. In fact there are countless wedding and brides bulletin boards and forums with brides-to-be discussing the subject of braces.

Short term orthodontics like Six Month Smiles often offer the best bet for brides-to-be as we can make a measurable difference in a comparatively short time.

However as with everything else concerned with a wedding, this requires considerable forward planning! Come and see us the sooner the better if you want to be free of dental braces on the big day.

For many brides, the attraction of having a straight gleaming smile for the wedding photos is enough for them to pick up the phone to us. Please do. We can advise for over-crowded teeth, squint teeth – sometimes only one tooth is out of line – or possibly an over bite. There is seldom a charge for an initial consultation, not strings attached.

Ask about our Braces before Wedding service by using the contact form or telephoning the Glasgow practice during opening hours.
