Allan came to our Glasgow practice complaining of severe tooth grinding damage and – related – acute sensitivity of his teeth.

“I didn’t like the colour, had tried tooth whitening but couldn’t bear it due to the sensitivity. I’d also had composite which my old dentist did but they kept falling out. The final thing was the space.”
Mouthguard to arrest the tooth damage
Dr Murphy fitted a nightwear mouthguard to stop Allan grinding his teeth. Within a month the sensitivity had settled.
“We covered every option. The “do-nothing and retry composite” options were refused by Allan.
He had researched Same Day Veneers and we set about the process with a minimalistic approach. Only the biting edges were adjusted.
Alec, our porcelain technician, gave us a ‘knife-edge’ gum finish which was perfect.”

Eight Same Day Veneers cost £3200. A non-refundable deposit is usually required to book longer appointments as necessary. This goes towards treatment so long as the patient attends.
Allan who was relieved to be free of the very visible effects of tooth grinding damage, felt that the price was extremely fair:
“I’d been quoted more at other Glasgow practices but they weren’t getting the lab guy out or fitting them that night. Brendan and Rebecca worked on until 8pm. It was seamless although I’m told it’s not always that easy! I’m most pleased about the sensitivity. No dentist had told me I was grinding my teeth before but it’s all good now.”
