Moira’s old porcelain crown fell out and she came to our Glasgow practice unhappy with the state of her smile. You can see from this image that all was not well.

Moira wanted to brighten some of her other front teeth but wasn’t necessarily wanting a dazzling Hollywood Smile. She just wanted a smile that was clean, healthy and reasonably white.
As you can see, in addition to the gap where her crown had once been, some of her other teeth were dark in colour and very heavily stained or chipped.
Old porcelain crown replaced
Moira didn’t need a dental implant. Instead, Dr Brendan Murphy placed a gold post in the broken tooth and a new dental crown on top of this.
Then Dr Murphy turned his attention to Moira’s other chipped and stained teeth. In total he fitted one porcelain veneer and three porcelain crowns.

The treatment costs were £1657 including X-rays, consultation, photos and treatment planning.
