Jared came to us with an old removable denture. He had travelled from Elgin in search of cosmetic improvements to his smile and his priority was to get rid of the false teeth while achieving a much improved upper dental aesthetic.
Beyond the old removable denture, his other issues were stained composite fillings and a black amalgam (upper left). His front teeth were also a mixture of different colours which didn’t look great.

Dr Brendan Murphy felt that the big challenge here was that Jared had delayed so long in seeking advice for these dental problems. Jared said that the reason he had waited so many years before seeking dental implant treatment was because Highland prices “were a bit steep.” Our cosmetic dentistry prices on the other hand are regularly considered below the average for Scotland and he decided to go ahead.

Dr Murphy stated: “There wasn’t much bone left but I used a mini dental implant. That meant that more complex bone grafting was avoided although it did affect the final crown shape slightly.
We discussed it with Jared during the consultation but he was set against more surgery for grafting. He was still extremely happy with the outcome.”
The case began with the implant placement, then some lower teeth whitening, followed by four porcelain crowns and four Emax porcelain veneers.

Jared paid a total of £4730 including X-rays, mini dental implant, porcelain crowns, porcelain veneers and tooth whitening (which is provided at a sharply discounted rate when paired with other cosmetic dentistry). He returned to Elgin content with the results and with confidence in his new smile.
